Enterprise Library contributions - db(OLEdb, ODBC, Sybase, ODP 10, PostgreSQL, MySql) and Logging (Rolling File, Flat File Fix, Console, Tracing, Webservice)
Right To Left By host on 5/15/2005
Enterprise Library contributions - db(OLEdb, ODBC, Sybase, ODP 10, PostgreSQL, MySql) and Logging (Rolling File, Flat File Fix, Console, Tracing, Webservice) Here (http://www.nantz.org/msentlib.zip) are my contributions to the Microsoft Enterprise Library. db(OLEdb, ODBC, Sybase, ODP 10, PostgreSQL, MySql) and Logging Sinks (Rolling File, Flat File Fix, Console, Tracing, Webservice) Here are some screen shots: Logging Database Of course you will have to ownload the latest ODP (http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/windows/odpnet/utilsoft.html), MySql(http://www.mysql.com/products/connector/net/), PostgreSQL(http://gborg.postgresql.org/project/npgsql/projdisplay.php) and Sybase (http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1016644) drivers. I couldn't find the db2 drivers so that will still be an add on and not directly built into the code base. Oh and I also added an enterprise template project so that you can include all these projects in your own solution.

Enterprise Library Infatuation
Right To Left By host on 5/5/2005
I have been so busy at my new client that I have little time to write and even less time to blog. But I am so excited about the Enterprise Library that I can’t help it J. I recently added an Oracle 10 ODP provider, OleDb and Odbc to the Enterprise Library. I also added a Rolling File sink and a Console Sink. Up and coming are a Sybase Provider and a web service logging sink!

Right To Left By host on 4/10/2005
Loren Halvorson has a great comparision of Log4Net versus the Enterprise Library Logging Block. I totally agree with his analysis. However you can remove the logging and replace it with Log4Net fairly easily.

Great CSS site
Right To Left By host on 4/6/2005
I have always liked CSS. I have used it a lot for some of the ASP.Net websites I have worked on. I am just starting to grasp the div instead of tables idea. This really saved me for printing on my last assignment. But until I saw http://csszengarden.com/ I had no idea how powerful CSS was! I wonder if the avalon guys are already thinking of something similar to use with XAML?

.Net Interview Questions
Right To Left By host on 4/6/2005
I found a great list of interview questions from Scott Hanselmen: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/WhatAGreatNETDevelopersOughtToKnowMoreNETInterviewQuestions.aspx. I really like these because they really are not to C# or VB specific. They also are not only about web or widnows developement. IF you are going to interview with me, expect some of these questions.
