Whenever I attend an ASP.Net 2.0 presentation, there is a demo of sitemaps. Sitemaps are great! But several people have asked about this versus Google Sitemaps. Immediately, I thought I would write a XLST to transform back and forth between the XML formats. Well apparently, Bertrand Le Roy from the ASP.Net team has already done this! I also found on several blogs complaints about ASP.Net sitemaps not being auto-generated. Well, ScottGu to the rescue!
So I am going to turn my focus to implementing an Oracle SiteMapProvider. Scott has one for SQL that I would love to take a look at. Actually, I was hoping to integrate the new Enterprise Library so that it will work with all my Databases.

If you ever wondered how many Microsoft products are using .Net you have to go read this post from the C# Product Manager. And that doesn’t include Small Business Accounting and CRM which I thought also had .Net in them?

I love VS.Net 2005. It is so much nicer than previous versions. They just keep getting better. If you want to use VS.Net 2005 in place of VS.Net 2003 and compile to .Net 1.1 then you should check this out. I was disappointed thought that VS.Net 2005 DOES NOT work with Biztalk 2004. Why? VS.Net 2005 works with SQL 2000, it works with previous version of IIS, etc…
While I am really looking forward to VSTS, I hope the support is better. My clients with Dev, QA and Production environments still have misfires in deployment. VSTS will definitely help. But NOT if they have to upgrade all their MS products (SQL, Biztalk. Etc…) :(

Originally, I thought I would get my benefits from a one stop shop (http://www.waterstonegroup.net/). I need a retirement plan, health insurance, etc… I am going to check into it and see if I can put things together myself cheaper. I will keep you updated. Right now I am looking into a SEP instead of a 401K. Here is more detailed info.
