Friday Fish Post: Weird Earth-iridescent Beta fish bowl
Right To Left By host on 10/30/2008
It is amazing to me that Betas can live in anything. You wouldn’t think a fish from such a bad environment would look so pretty. http://www.ohgizmo.com/2008/09/26/fish-tank-friday-teach-your-fish-hollow-earth-geography/

Motion and Mobile Gaming!
Right To Left By host on 10/29/2008
I have been thinking about motion in mobile gaming for a while. I guess Sony is looking into that as well: http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/17/sony-ericsson-makes-good-on-motion-gaming-f305-and-s302-snapshot/ My boss just got an iPhone (I am the only one in my group that is still on Windows Mobile). He showed me this motion sensing dice roller: http://gizmodo.com/5023627/iphone-dice-game-simulates-real-dice-rolling-using-sensors-and-physics WOW!

Book Review Tuesday: Blackwater: The Rise of the World's Most Powerful Mercenary Army

The story of the “contractors” that were killed in Fallujah was very well written. It was a bit unnerving to see that the government is outsourcing this type of work because the accountability seems questionable. Blackwater seems to play both sides of the road, which is dangerous (claiming to be civilians when legally convenient and being a part of military in other instances). It opened my eyes to how much money is being made by war. It is sad. Historically, war is good for the economy. In this case it seemed that contractors (H

This is cool for someone who wants to watch their fish remotely like on vacation or something. Probably very expensive. A friend of mine converted an old iPaq to do something similar. http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/17/wi-aquarium-the-wifi-enabled-fish-tank/
