  6700 Keyboard update

The keyboard on my 6700 is a getting a little loose.  I still love it for email though.  The other day I watched James’ video review of the Treo 700w.  I really like the ways to do contact searching on the Treo 700w using the keyboard one handed!  Because the 6700’s keyboard is not conducive to one-handed, easily available use for phone calls I can not do this on my phone.  Now this may be moot if Microsoft’s Voice Command would have come installed on the Sprint PPC6700 (like it does on most other carriers) and would work with Bluetooth headsets on Windows Mobile 5.

On a different related note I had lunch with Michael Gough.  He gave me a copy of his excellent Skype book.  I hear him over on the Computer Outlook on 01/13/06.

Guess what he had the 6700 from Verizon!  I know that Verizon has eliminated the tethering, but they also do not allow the WIFI and the phone on at the same time!  So if you are using WIFI then your phone calls go directly to voicemail.  I tried this on my Sprint unit and I can use the wireless and receive phone calls.  What I can not tell is if I can use the WIFI and EVDO at the same time.  I don’t think it works because the Indicator for the WIFI excludes the indicator for the EVDO.
