I do not know if I should be excited about Silverlight or not. I have been experimenting for a while on projects that are mobile, desktop (windows, linux and mac) and web. What about XBOX360 CF, MediaCenter and Gadgets? I could not agree more with Casey Chestnut (http://www.brains-n-brawn.com/default.aspx?blog=http://www.mperfect.net/blog/browse.aspx?bid=633247136743125000) and Chris Craft’s (http://www.cjcraft.com/blog/2007/09/13/WarningSilverlightEverywhereIsnt.aspx) posts. I talked to a Microsoft Evangelist (http://larryclarkin.com/) about this and he had some interesting information! No, I will not say what you will have to ask him. I agree with Casey why not iPhone support? What about Palm? In light of the collaboration between Nokia and Microsoft (http://www.nokia.com/search4/search.c?qt=microsoft&page=0&wsid=204&charset=UTF-8&sort=relevance&summ=true) including music and search, why not Symbian support? If redfive [http://www.redfivelabs.com] can do it why not MS? My big request though is to allow a partially connected model that can cache data. Ideally this would synchronize with Sql Server (would you just acquire VistaDb [http://www.vistadb.net] already).
